The catch is that while we readily occupy ourselves looking for somebody to love, what we desperately long for is somebody to love us. Again, to be found rather than to find. It makes me wonder how more easily I would receive what I'm looking for if I just gave myself away, focusing only on the act of giving, not the receiver of the gift. To release yourself freely to someone is to be known by them.
